Gimme a chance - I wanted an opinion on location first!
NOV
05
Thursday 5th Nov 2009, 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm - The Boat Inn
This event is organised by Hartwell Home Workers
Infomral Lunch for Home Workers and people who run their own business in Hartwell
This is a monthly lunch for people who work at home and need to get out more! It is designed for anyone who either runs their own business or works for someone else from home.
We chat and buy our own lunches at the selected venue, and it is ideal to meet more people and share the stresses and strains of being your own boss at home.
We meet once a month, normally on the last Thursday of the month - but changed this month due to half term and many of us being parents.
Proposed location this month is Spice at Stoke Bruerne, please use the forum to say if you are attending and if you are happy with the date and venue.
LOCATION IS NOW THE BOAT INN STOKE BRUERNE - 2 MEALS FOR £9 MENU.
This is an unofficial item (What does this mean?)

Last Thursday of November. (26th)
And while we are about it - would we want a December one? I was thinking of 17th December rather than in Christmas Hols.

Do we have a date for the November lunch?

Looks like the lifts are sorted, Paul and I are dashing to and from other appointments so we are going to be very un green and taking 2 cars ourselves!

Would anyone like a lift share for Thursday?
I might be coming straight from Milton Keynes, but Rachel can offer space in a car, I can pass on her e-mail if you wuold like a lift.

I am planning on booking us into the Boat as I have heard nothing from the curry house - I guess we should plan an evening out for a curry one month!
By Weebly >> 27 Oct 2009 06:48 pm
lol - and you reason sounded so important and impressive too!

Sorry can't make this now - have got a project kick off meeting in London!
By Weebly >> 21 Oct 2009 05:46 pm
I'll wait and see what they say if they call me back.
Linda Johns (local artist) has also confirmed she will be joining us again, she came to the July meeting in teh Pocket Park.

I am happy with the Boat. It feels like a bit of an inconvience to get the Spice to open just for us - especially when you don't eat curry anyway Weebly.
By Weebly >> 20 Oct 2009 06:36 pm
I just called Spice - and if there is enough of us they may open. The owner will call me back later.
I have asked for 6 which is
Weebly
Mr SiliconBullet
Joflan
Paurila
Daylight Gambler
JulesJet
Perhaps Rachel and Neil also ?
We may get a curry yet! (shame I'll be eating chips)
By Weebly >> 20 Oct 2009 06:32 pm
You mean I have to make a decision myself?
I'll ring Spice and see if they will be open - if not it will be at The Boat.
Do we want to organise a car share from hartwell?
By daylight_gambler >> 20 Oct 2009 05:25 pm
Count me in - either the pub or the curry house.
By Parilia >> 20 Oct 2009 03:22 pm
Thank you, it's in my diary. I'll keep a look out for which venue you choose.

ps. The meals are nice at both the Rose and Crown and The Boat Inn, so I'm happy with either.

Sorry I can't make this one, it's 2 days before we go to the Nationals with Jude and I will probably be tearing my hair out, rather stressed and looking like this ![]()

As I only work at home on the occassional day would I be able to come along then?
I have some ideas I'd like to run by folk on creating jobs in the village, and heck, it's another chance to socialise.

As will Weebly and Mr Silicon Bullet
Anyone have the phone number of the curry place handy so I can book?
