Website iCal and RSS feeds

This site has a number of feeds available for you to keep in touch with what is published, without having to constantly check the site.

RSS Feeds

Not sure what a RSS feed is or what to do with it? The BBC has an excellent guide to RSS feeds.

Each section of the site has it's own RSS feed. These feeds are:

As the feeds are provided via feedburner, just follow the link and select your preferred reader!

All the feeds are also posted on twitter, so if you follow hartwellvillage you will get tweet updates when new items are posted! All items are also posted on Facebook - Become a fan of Hartwell Village Community Website.

iCal Feeds

By subscribing to our iCal feed, you'll be able to view all the events in your own calendar application (like Outlook). What's more, your calendar will automatically check for new events, so you'll always be up-to-date.

To do this, you will need a calendar application that supports the iCal format, such as Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, or Apple iCal.

To subscribe, simply paste the link below into your calendar (more detailed instructions below!)

Subscribe in Microsoft Outlook

• From the Tools menu select 'Account Settings'
• Click the 'Internet Calendars tab
• Click New
• Copy & Paste this url: http://www.hartwellvillage.com/feeds/calendar
• Name the feed in the 'FolderName:' field
• Click OK

Subscribe in Google Calendar

• Login to your Google Calendar account
• From the bottom of your calendar list, click Add and select 'Add by URL'
• Copy & Paste this url: http://www.hartwellvillage.com/feeds/calendar
• Click Add

Subscribe in Apple iCal

• Click the iCal icon in the Dock (or in the Applications folder)
• From the menu bar, select Calendar > Subscribe
• Copy & Paste this url: http://www.hartwellvillage.com/feeds/calendar
• Click Subscribe
• Name the calendar in the Title field
• Click the Refresh check box
• Select how often you wish to refresh the calendar
• Click OK

Adding Individual Events to your Calendar

Each of the events listed on this site has it's own iCal file, allowing you to add individual events to your calendar without subscribing to them all.

On each event, there are a list of supported calendars, just click the one you wish to add your event to.

Note that imported events are not linked, and so will not be updated.
