Despite the cold temperatures, about 13 people turned up for Hartwell's first Health Walk on Saturday 4th February.
Organised by South Northamptonshire Council as part of the national Walking for Health programme, the health walks aim to provide opportunities for people who currently do little or no exercise to attend walks locally.
Colin Hull, Sports Development Officer, said, "I am delighted that we are able to start this new health walk as it means more people can gain the tremendous health benefits from walking."
The walk lasted approximately an hour, and end at the Conservative Club for hot drinks and coffee.
The next walks are on Saturday 25th February, Saturday 3rd March and Saturday 24th March.
