This news relates to Hartwell Village (General)
Wind Prospect have posted a newsletter to residents in the village giving details of the proposal.
The proposal, originally for the erection of a 60m wind monitoring mast to investigate the power generation potential of a site north of Hartwell, comprises of around six wind turbines with a maximum height of 100m to blade tip as well as associated infrastructure such as underground cables, access tracks, an anemometer mast, a switchgear building, drainage ditches, crane hard-standings and a construction compound.
The newsletter aims to make sure the community is kept up to date with Wind Prospect's plans and advertises a public exhibition on Wednesday 1st December at Roade Bowls Club between 2pm and 8pm.
The exhibition will be an opportunity to find out more about the scheme, to offer suggestions and for staff to answer questions.
More information about the proposal is available at www.m1windfarm.com.
If you have not received the newsletter it can be downloaded at: http://www.hartwellvillage.com/file.php?name=114588.pdf
[Slightly confusingly there is also a proposed wind farm near the M1 to the south of Salcey Forest - see http://www.ecotricity.co.uk/wind-parks/stoke-heights-milton-keynes]
