M1 J14 to J16 Lining and Studs Reewal Scheme

We are Aone+ and we manage and maintain the trunk roads and motorways in the East Midlands on behalf of the Highways Agency.  We would like to inform you that Aone+ will be carrying out some road works on the M1 northbound carriageway.

The works are to carry out road marking and stud renewal activities along the M1 between jct 14 and jct 16 on the northbound carriageway.  These works are essential maintenance to help maintain road safety.

The work is expected to start on Monday, 5th September 2011 and be complete by Sunday, 18th September 2011 assuming reasonable weather conditions.

Between these dates it will be necessary to close the exit and entry slip roads at jct 15 and 15A and the entry slip road at jct 16 in phases.  this will happen in phases and at night time only to minimise disruption to road users.  There wil also be lane closures on the M1 northbound carriageway itself.  These closures are to ensure the safety of road users and the workforce.

There will be a 50mph speed restriction in operation during these works.  Diversion routes will also be in place during the works and access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

To keep disruption to a minimum the site will operate at night time only.  The working hourse are set out below:

Monday - Thursday 8.00pm to 5.00am

Thursday 8.00pm to 6.00am (friday)

Friday 10.00pm - 8.00am (saturday)

Saturday 7.00pm - 10.00am (sunday)

Sunday 10.00pm - 5.00am (monday)

Every effort has been made to minimise disrution to road users but there will inevitably be some inconvenience generated by these works and for that we apologise in advance.
