 Remembrance Service

Hartwell Parish Council mark Remembrance Day each year with a service both at the village Memorial and at the Church.

Each year we remember specifically those who have died for their country, from Hartwell, in the First World War and the Second World War.

Unfortunately, since the end of the Second World War conflict continues all over the World and the Parish Council would like to also honour those brave men and women from Hartwell who have died serving in the British Services during the Falklands War, the conflicts in Kosovo, Bosnia and the troubles in Northern Ireland.

Also, fresh on our minds is the ongoing conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan where we can see, via the media, every day the terrible scenes of violence and terrorism our soldiers are faced with.

If you would like a loved one, from Hartwell, to be honoured at our memorial services please contact the Parish Clerk.

Also, if you have served in the forces and would like to participate in the Memorial Service to mark the bravery of you and your comrades, please contact the Parish Clerk on 07947 723 200 or clerk@hartwellparish.co.uk

We are also looking for nominations for someone within the village to lay the wreath on behalf of the Parish Council, if you of anyone who you feel should be nominated for this please contact the Parish Clerk as above.
