Spam problems on the forum

The Hartwell Village forum has been subjected to attack by spammers over the last few months
Over the last few months, spammers have been attempting to flood the forum with spam posts.
Until recently the moderation team, who have done a fantastic job (much thanks), were able to keep on top of the problem - not approving the spam posts and removing the users, however it recently got to the point that the dam burst.
During the server move, that occured this weekend, the forum now has a new method to protect from spammers - unfortunately however, it was necessary to delete 4000 suspected spam users and 500 unapproved posts.
I have tried to ensure that legitimate accounts were spared, but it is inevitable that some accounts may have been deleted (please note this will not affect you if you have posted at least one approved comment on the forum).
If you have any problems logging in, plese email support@hartwellvillage.com
The site is back up and running on the new server - if you encountered any problems, please just let me know.
