THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE POOR WEATHER FORECASTS WE WILL RESCHEDULE FOR AFTER THE FESTIVE HOLIDAY SO PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR FURTHER INFORMATION SOON!
The Youth Group are looking for volunteers to help with marketing the forthcoming Bus event on 19th December 2009. If you are able to spare a little time delivering leaflets in the village your support would be very much appreciated. Please email the Parish Clerk for further information clerk@hartwellparish.co.uk. If you are aged 15 or under written permission from a parent/guardian will be required.
The event is running from 10am – 3pm and will host:
‘The Bus’ – The Bus is fully fitted out with Games areas, Training areas and Quiet areas. Six laptops for surfing the web or training, a Wii and Playstation are also provided with traditional games. CD and DVD facilities also provided throughout the bus with special training and fun software available. We are encouraging the youth to bring their own games to play against their friends, their will also be youth workers there and representatives from Connextions and SNC Youth Council.
Mobile Skateboard – We have hired a mobile skate park for the day all the youth need to bring are their boards, helmets and safety pads.
Live music – We are delighted that a youth band from Roade has agreed to attend for the day playing their most popular sets. They are regular features at Roadmender in
Refreshments – Refreshments will be served all day.
In order for the day to run smoothly we need as much help as possible from serving refreshments to supervising activities.
We would set up a rota ensuring everyone has breaks and is supported throughout the day, if you would like to volunteer your time whether it is for the whole day or just an hour it would be very much appreciated. Please contact me to let me know how you can help and when you would be available.
We will also need to spend some time clearing the car park of rubbish prior to the event starting if anyone is available to help litter pick for an hour on Saturday morning please contact me.
If you are unable to help on the day we are also looking for volunteers to deliver promotional leaflets during the course of next week if you would be willing to do this please contact me.
Finally, if you have any ideas for what else we could feature on the day please let us know!
Thank you in advance for your support.
